Your video never leaves your computer

Most clip tools make you upload your footage to their servers and wait in a queue. This one doesn't. The cutting happens inside your browser, on your own device. Nothing is sent anywhere, so there is no upload wait, no queue, and no copy of your video sitting on somebody else's computer.

That also means it works on a plane, on bad hotel wifi, or with footage you would rather not hand to a stranger.

How it works

1. Pick your video — or record straight from your webcam.
2. Choose the clip length and the shapes you want (9:16, 1:1, 16:9).
3. Press cut. The clips render on your device and download as normal MP4 files.

Is it really free?
Yes — no account, no card, no trial timer. The splitter is free because it costs us nothing to run: your computer does the work.

Do I need to sign up?
Not for the splitter. You only need an account if you want OnceCast to post the clips for you.

What happens to my video?
Nothing. It is read by your browser and never uploaded. Close the tab and it's gone.
